On the morning of November 9, 2023, over breakfast at Bintulu Kopitiam in Medan Jaya, I captured this video in a completely impromptu moment. As we sipped our coffee, Bugong began reminiscing about his past attempt to build a klirieng replica. Sensing the significance of the story, I quickly pulled out my cheap android phone and hit record. Sitting with us was his wife, Ado Bilong, who is not just a listener to these stories but a leader herself—the headwoman of Rumah Ado in Kakus.
